Napo to go unopposed in Manhyia South Constituency?

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) will hold primaries for sitting Members of Parliament on April 25, 2020.

The party has already succeeded in electing and acclaiming parliamentary candidates for some orphan constituencies ahead of general elections 2020.

Aspiring parliamentary candidates are yet to file their forms to contest incumbent MPs in the various constituencies belonging to the NPP in the country.

However, the Manhyia South MP, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh (Napo) who doubles as the Minister of Education (the free Education man) looks very likely to go unopposed on the basis on his dedication, hard work and fragrant relationship with party executives and delegates.

The Ashanti Regional NPP 1st Vice Chairman, Mr Kwabena Senkyire who doubles as the Ashanti Regional NADMO boss made it clear on Saturday, December 7 2019 that, “Napo is going unopposed”.

Although, Napo has said he will gladly accept any contestant from the Manhyia South constituency, however, Newstimesgh.com reporter Joe Marfo can confirm that, everything is set for Napo to go uncontested.

Ever since Napo climbed the seat of the MP at Manhyia South constituency, his commitment towards party polling executives, delegates and some other executives has been very cordial.

A strong wind of unity is by far blowing in Napo’s constituency.

Last Saturday, he met all delegates and polling station executives and endowed them with prizes for the impending Christmas.

It was not the first time, but this meeting has been an annual gathering in the constituency ever since he climbed the MP seat.

The relationship between Napo and his constituency executives and the constituents at large has made it scary for anyone who desires to contest him.

Everyone feels already running at lost and therefore will not squander money and resources on competing for a position he/she has indirectly lost.
