Aplaku Zongo gets new chief

Aplaku Zongo, a community under the leadership of Sarki Issaka Alhasssan has installed a new Zabarma chief.

During the colorful event, Sarki Musah Yahaya Yandu, Greater Accra Council Of Zabarma Chief, the Aplaku Zongo Chief Sarki, Issaka Alhasssan, the Kwashieman Zongo Chief Alhaji Imrana Bila Ango, Sarki Alhaji Lawal Garibey, and El-ethai were present to witness the lavish ceremony.

The newly installed Zabarma chief of Aplaku, Adamu Amani called for unity and cooperation among his people towards accelerated development in the area.

He said no meaningful development could take place in an area plagued with conflicts and petty divisions.

He made the call when swearing an oath of Allegiance to the Zongo chief of Aplaku.

The Zongo chief of Aplaku, Sarki Issaka Alhasssan I, said traditional leaders have a lot to do with Ghana’s development hence the need to roll out the initiative to complement the efforts of the government.

He said traditional leaders must contribute their quota towards the development of the country especially in the areas they rule.

Sarki Issaka Alhasssan known in his private life as a senior medical practitioner and herbal consultant succeeded in his kingship through humbleness and respect.

He however encouraged the youth to pursue education and resist the quest for quick money and all manner of fraudulent acts.
