The Association of Methodist Brigade(AMB) are set to hold their “11 Biennial Connexional delegates conference” in Kumasi, Ashanti Region.
The program themed: “intensifying our teaching ministry towards disciple making, the young person in focus” begins today July 8, at 7 PM at University Hall, Katanga – KNUST and it is expected to elapse on Sunday, July 11 2019.
The conference aims at deepening members understanding of the Methodist faith and the Christian faith, and its application to personal, social and economic life.
To educate members on the doctrines of the Methodist Church, thus inculcating in them a sense of belonging and discipline.
It also aims at encouraging members to render their services to the Methodist Church and as well help members to come to have a personal faith in Jesus Christ as their Saviour
Official opening (Friday)
The Diocesan Youth Organiser (DYO) of the Methodist Church- Kumasi, Mr. Kofi Annan Benneth told Newstimesgh.com that AMB will undertake many activities tomorrow (Friday) which is the official opening of the conference.
The Brigade will go on parade at exactly 8 AM to mark commencement of the 2019 conference.
The Diocesan heads of the Methodist Church across Ghana, Special Invited Guests like the Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah, the Kumasi Mayor, Mr Osei Asibey Antwi, the Ashanti regional Police commander and many other dignitaries are expected to attend the conference.
The association on Saturday July 12, will go on excursion to the Manhyia Palace to study some history about Asanteman.
A dinner plus traditional night will be observed in the Evening.
The conference will come to an end on Sunday after worshipping the Lord with some other churches in the Kumasi City.
Organizers and leaders of AMB said the conference is opened to all individuals.
