Brave Taxi Driver From Collapsed Akyem Building Recruited By Ghana Armed Forces

Just a few days ago, the eastern region was hit with a disastrous collapse of a church building in the town of Akyem Batabi. As to what cause the building to collapse investigations are still being done as at now.

Many people have been rescued so for but there is a feeling that there could be more people under the rubble. Hopefully all that is done.

But this story isn’t just about the victims from the buildings collapse. It about a brave man who gave his all to save individuals who were caught under the collapse building.

This taxi driver by name “Côte D’Ivoire” is said to have singlehandly saved 17 people from the rubbles of the collapsed 3-storey church building at Akyem Batabi in the Eastern Region.

According to reports this willing man has been employed by the Ghana Armed Forces as a civilian employee for his bravery.

All we say is kudos to him and the Ghana Armed Forces for making him an example. These are the kind of people who need to be appreciated and awarded and not those people up there doing nothing but just taking advantage of the Ghana man.

So far Twenty of the 28 people retrieved from the rubble of the collapsed Church of Prosperity building at Akyem Batabi in the Asene – Manso – Akroso District in the Eastern Region since the disaster occurred last Tuesday have been pronounced.
