The chiefs and elders of Amoam- Achiase in the Ejisu Municipal of the Ashanti region have debunked claims of the death of 8 people in free for all fight at a funeral ground last Saturday in the Achiase community as reported by a Kumasi base radio Station Angel FM.
The chiefs claim “no 8 people were killed at the said riot. No community member or native was involved”.
Achiase community authorities maintain that the chaos arised between some members of the Kumasi Magazine and certain group from Krofrom who came to burry a corpse in the Amoam- Achiase community on the Saturday 29 June this year.
The authorities led by Nana Ansah Sasraku, the assembly member hinted again that the Kidnap of the 2 Canadian girls did not happen at Achiase but rather, it occurred between its boundaries with Jamasi and Antoa.
The elders said no native of the community was involved in the criminality however, Achiase must not be painted black.
The authorities have as well debunked claims by the media that a boy of his 20s was killed and burnt to ashes in Achiase via the orders of Nana Kusi Baabu of Achiasehene.
They said the incident happened at Ekyem and not Amoam- Achiase.
“I want to state emphatically that, there’s the difference between Amoam- Achiase and Ekyem.
Achiasehene is Nana Kwaku Duah I and not Nana Kusi Baabu Ekyem”.
Meanwhile, the authorities have stipulated that Amoam – Achiase is a peaceful town.
Therefore investors and philanthropists who wish to do business in the community safety is well guaranteed.
