“No Need to Worry; Your Wards are Safe” – GES Director Assures Parents
The Asokwa Municipal Director of Education Mr. Ebenezer Oteng Marfo has said final year students in the Municipal are very safe amidst pandemic Covid-19.
He said parents should not worry about their wards since Ghana Education Service (GES) in collaboration with the Asokwa Municipal have made available the required arrangements and items to guide students from contracting pandemic coronavirus.
“We have received all the items that we need in terms of thermometer guns, face masks, Veronica buckets, hand sanitizers and liquid soaps. So we have supplied all of them to all the schools in Asokwa Municipal”, the Education Director told Newstimesgh.com in an interview.
According to him teachers and various heads of schools both JHS and SHS have been trained on the effective mechanisms to ensure safety of students in the Asokwa schools.
In spite of that, he and his team do every day monitoring to ensure that students comply with Covid-19 safety protocols.
Even though some Senior High Schools (SHS) in the country have recorded cases of Covid-19 which has left most parents into sense of heart warmness, however the Asokwa Municipal and GES is taken good care of the final years students, especially SHS (students) who have just started their examination (WASSCE) in order not to catch the plague.
“As Municipal Education Director I would like to assure every parent that the protocols are in place, we do a lot of monitoring, we have map all the schools to health centers that in case there are issues, quickly they will call for them to take care of them (students), so they (parents) should be rest assured that we will go through successfully”, Mr Ebenezer Oteng Marfo assured.
