The incumbent member of Parliament for Ejisu constituency, Mr Kwabena Owusu Aduomi has opened up a challenge for himself asking any individual to contest him within the NPP ahead of the party’s primaries on September 28 this year.
Mr Aduomi said “I’m not scared of a competition, I don’t care whoever might want to contest me in the pending NPP primaries and general elections in 2020”.
The legislator was responding to rumours circulating that Lawyer John Kumah, CEO of National Entrepreneurship and Innovative Plan (NEIP) has the intentions to contest him within the NPP party in the imminent primaries.
The law maker said he is very confident he would win hands down without any fear or panic in spite of whoever will challenge his seat. His massive contribution towards the smooth development of the Ejisu constituency over the years will fetch him a smooth win over any competitor.
Undoubtedly, Lawyer John Kumah has made it clear that he is going to battle the incumbent MP of the Ejisu constituency on all fronts in the upcoming NPP primaries.
Just last Saturday, August 17 this year, Lawyer John Kumah said he was very keen to repugn Mr Aduomi. This he said in a statement during the launch of ” Esienimpong NPP young patriots.
Then on Sunday, August 18 this year, during the in handing over ceremony of Onwe SHS to government, he made the declaration of contesting the incumbent MP(Aduomi) right in his presence.
But Mr Aduomi exclusively declared to the Daily Dispatch Newspaper that, “I have been contested on many occasions on many positions. Therefore I don’t fear any competition, I don’t care who you are, I believe I’m going to retain my seat”.
