Mr Kwasi Bonzoh, Ellembelle DCE
Some Residents in the Ellembelle Municipal of the Western Region have showered praises on their District Chief Executive (DCE) and the New Patriotic (NPP) Government led by President Akufo-Addo over the contruction of the Esiama to Nkroful road.
The residents say, the newly asphalted road is gradually booming businesses and raising their standards of living, socially and economically.
The Ellembelle inhabitants of drivers and traders who spoke to NewstimesGh.com yesterday expressed that, the Esiama to the late Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s hometown (Nkroful) road of about 6.5 kilometers was in a deplorable state for decades.
They said, many people have died from the road via accidents, armed robberies and respiratory diseases due to the poor and dusty state of the road some years back.
Taxi drivers led by Mathias Kudjo said they repaired their vehicles at least 3 times every week due to the devastated state of the road.
Subsequently, via the good works of President Akufo-Addo the now asphalted stretch has enhanced vehicular business since travellers are able to embark on their daily routines with ease.
The natives specifically, from Esiama eulogized the Ellembelle DCE, Mr Akwasi Bonzoh for his unflinching effort towards the construction of the road.
“We thank the NPP government, especially our DCE, Mr Kwasi Bonzoh for being the center stage of this beautiful road’s construction. If previous DCEs worked like him, by now Ellembelle would have being tourists hub. We’re very grateful for his restless efforts,” they declared.
The Ellembelle natives on the other hand appealed to the DCE to assist in fixing some bridges and minor routes within the district.
