Babile Methodist Church Under reconstruction; Funding from Good Shepherd Methodist Church (GSMC), Worcester -USA
International Methodist Church branch in Worcester, Good Shepherd Methodist Church (GSMC) of the United States is said to spending USD25,000 on reconstruction of the Babile Methodist Church in Upper West Region of Ghana.
The approach is part of GSMC’s mission to give assistance to the needy in Africa and the world at large.
Rev. Dr Thomas Ofori, Head pastor GSMC, Worcester-USA told Newstimesgh.com that, the Babile Methodist Church was reported to have been completely destroyed by torrential rains in 2006.
The congregants since then have not been able to assemble for Church Services.
“Good Shepherd Methodist deemed it necessary to reconstruct the Babile Methodist Chapel via funds from our annual harvest, tithes and other contributions. We believe that the new building will ensnare the commune to attend the Church and in due time and rekindle their faith in the Lord”, the Head Pastor stated.
The Man of God unveiled the Church’s ultimate apparition to be founding of educational ventures like, ICT Centres, School buildings, Modern Libraries among others at Babile and some parts of Ghana.
However, he entreated all other major churches in the world to shore up and empower smaller churches so as to pull out the effective promulgation of the gospel across the globe.
He commended government of Ghana over its good policies towards the development of the nation.
