Ghana School Feeding Program(GSFP) has offered innovative Nutrition Training for Five Hundred and Fifty Eight (558) Caterers in Kumasi Metropolis.
The training in partnership with World Food Program(WFP, Partnership for Child Development (PCD), African Union Development Agency (AUDA) started in Ashanti Region on Monday and it would end on Friday October 18, 2019.
The main objective of the workshop is to equip the caterers to acquire capacity cooking skills on home grown food produce.
The Public Relations Officer(PRO) for GSFP, Mr Siiba Alpha told Newstimesgh.com that, GSFP is set to training about three thousand head cooks in Ashanti Region.
The workshop will help the caterers to acquire new ways of cooking to at least boost the health status of GSFP beneficiaries.
He commended the caterers for their effective performance in the GSFP.
He declared that government has paid the whole of first and second term of 208/2019 academic year, it’s only third term of same year that’s outstanding but it is committed to settle all arrears for the caterers.
However, government will retrieve contract with any Head Cook who does not perform well.
