“I will stepdown if NPP don’t win 2020 elections by 55 percent”- Communication Officer

Communication Officer for Kumawu Constituency, Mr Kennedy Kwaku Antwi

The New Patriotic Party Communication Officer for Kumawu Constituency, Mr Kennedy Kwaku Antwi has said his party will win Ghana’s 2020 general elections by 55% percent but if does not come to pass he will resign.

He told Newstimesgh.com in an exclusive interview on Saturday, January 17.

The over confident NPP communicator claims there is no way the National Democratic Congress (NDC) can surpasses NPP to election victory in 2020 looking their[NPP] tremendous performance in 4 years of office.

He said it is already a done deal for NPP because they have already won the battle by huge margin[55%] so the NDC should back off and begin preparing for election 2024.

NPP enjoyed their biggest victory over NDC with accumulated score of 53.7% as against NDC’s 44.5% in the 2016 general elections.

In 2019, institutions like, Pan-African Magazine, the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) and the Afrobarometer survey by the Ghana Center for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana)per their survey concluded the NPP will win 2020 elections by a slide margin.

However, Mr Kennedy Kwaku Antwi, the Kumawu NPP Communication Officer has rubbished almost the survey with the apparent believe that, NPP will win with a landslide margin of 55% and if that fails to come through he is liable for anything the public would want to throw at him even if he should resign from post or they “slay him like Aponkye”[goat]

“NPP will win by 55% in December looking at the good work we have embarked on so far. If we don’t get that figure I will stepdown”, his statement.

He said, the NPP’s good policies such as the free SHS, planting for food and jobs, NABCO, restoration of nurses allowances, one district one factory(1D1F) and many other policies which are ongoing have completely butchered the NDC to the detriment therefore they are no longer competitors.

This he believes will assist NPP in their call, “4 more for Nana Addo” to see victory in December 2020.
