The Juaben Rural Bank Limited has spent GHC 52, 285 as part of mechanisms of executing its Corporate Social Responsibilities(CSR)
This was declared by the Board Chairman, Lawyer Kwabena Asante Krobea on the 34th AGM of Juaben Rural Bank Limited.
Beneficiary communities and Institutions
Juaben Rural Bank Limited spent GHC 24,585 as farmers day presentation to Ejisu/ Juaben, Asokore Mampong, Kwabere East and Afigya Kwabere Disttricts and Municipal Assemblies.
The bank spent GHS 300 on Vision Consult, GHC 1,000 on Sakafia SHS and GHC 500 on Ghana Blind Union at Ejisu/ Juaben.
Again, JRB endowed Juaben Development Committee 20 bags of cement at a cost of GHC 700, Printer and UPS to Ghana Police- Juaben District Command at GHC2,800, Laptop and Leather Swivel chair to Sekyere East District Education Office at GHC 4,200, Laptop and Desktop computers to National Service Secretariat- Kumasi at GHC 5000 and GHC 1,500 to GES, Nkawie.
Desktop computers were given to Onwe SHS at a cost of GHS 3,500, Juaben SHS- GHS 1,000, Kuamawu Presby JHS- GHC 500, Ejisu Divisional Police Command- GHC 1000, All Nations Prayer Camp-GHC 200, Nyameade Primary and Kindergarten Schools- GHC 1,000 and Sepe Primary B School – GHC 500.
Also, 10 Dustbins were given to Dadease D/A JHS at GHC 400, GHC 600 was released to support girl child education at ROMP foundation and finally, a GHC 2,000 was released to support capacity building for newly trained teachers in Ejisu Municipal Assembly.
The chairman man said JRB spent GHC 42,916.13 on 17 students in SHS and tertiary who have been on the bank’s scholarship scheme in the 2018 fiscal or financial year.
The bank spent GHC 24,140 on additional works of X-Ray Department at the Juaben Government Hospital.
Juaben Rural Bank Limited spent GHC 70,000 on the completion of a 3- No. en-suite staff headquarters for Juaben District Police personnel.
Profit and Dividend Rises
However, the bank has been able to expand profit margin in the 2018 fiscal year. It attained GHC 2,072,532 profit after tax in 2018 as against 1,905,644 in 2017 representing and increment of 8.76%.
On the order hand the Directors of JRB recommend the payment of GHC 0.06, 2018 against GHC 0.055, 2017 per share on 11,922,912 ordinary shares which qualified for dividend.
The board chairman declared the need for JRB to improve on productivity and efficiency therefore, it is relocating the Atimatim Agency to Pankrono and it’s expected that the relocation would be completed by the close of 2019.
He assured that “Juaben Rural Bank Limited(JRB) is committed and continues to contribute its quota to the development of communities in the catchment area as part of its corporate social responsibility”, he stated.
