A renowned popular highlife artiest, Kuami Eugene has revealed why he has mostly borrowed or imitated portions of lines or words from peoples (highlife legends) original music.
The young talented musician has been criticized in recent years of Music plagiarism.
Legendary high-life music sensation, Nana Kwame Ampadu, couple of months ago came out loudly that, he was going to sue Kuami Eugene and others for stealing his songs.
However, in conversation on United Showbiz on UTV chaired by Nana Ama McBrown, monitored by Newstimesgh.com reporter, Joe Marfo, Kuami Eugene reiterated that, young highlife musicians can not do away without imitating or borrowing portions of lines or words from highlife legends.
Because the highlife legends in Ghana have already used almost every Twi love words needed for highlife music.
“These legends, Kojo Antwi, Daddy Lumba, Amakye Dede among others have already used all the ‘Twi Love Words’, so you can’t sing without borrowing or imitating some of their words if indeed you want to do proper highlife music”, Eugene stated.
Kuami Eugene, the ‘Confusion’ hit maker has however, released a new single tittled; “Obiaa To”.
