A young National Democratic Congress (NDC) man by name Abubakar in Kumasi has accused the Ashanti Regional Organiser for New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Francis Adomako for intentionally snubbing him over lockdown food (Takeaway rice).
Speaking in an interview on Nhyira FM in Kumasi, monitored by Newstimesgh.com the young NDC man expressed his ordeal that, the NPP Regional Organizer refused to give him a cooked takeaway rice after he called and followed him just to get chow to quench his hunger.
According to the NDC young man, he saw the NPP Regional organizer on a pickup vehicle around Asafo, a suburb of Kumasi, fully loaded with lockdown food. He called him (organizer) for food but the organizer deliberately drove off. He then chased him with a motor bicycle through to Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly’s Office where he further pleaded just to get one of the many packaged food but the organizer resisted his request.
Responding to the allegation, the Regional Organizer said the provisions were meant for some specific people but not passers-by.
However, many people have accused Kumasi authorities on various media channels that the lockdown food sharing is being done on partisan bases despite President Nana Addo’s directives of give food to the vulnerable.
They have alleged that, most of the foodstuffs which are being distributed are wrapped with NPP colours.
