Member of Parliament (MP) for Manhyia North Constituency; Hon Collins Owusu Amankwah has donated items worth GHC90, 000 to constituents.
The stuffs which were presented on Sunday, May 10, 2020 to Assembly Members in the Manhyia North Constituency included, 4000 pieces of hand sanitizers, 100 Veronica Buckets 100 pieces of Street lights, 3000 pieces of LED bulbs and over 150 Hampers.
The kind gesture aims at supporting the Manhyia North electorates in the fight against Covid-19 pandemic.
Hon Collins Owusu Amankwah in his assertion said, the welfare of his constituents is very key consequently the need for the endowment.
“All that I know is my duty to maximize the welfare of my people and that’s what I’m doing right now”, the MP declared.
The MP who doubles as Chairperson for Government Assurance committee, Vice Chairperson for Defence and Interior Committee and member of Parliamentary Select committee on health has spent more than GHC250,000 on charity in the wake of Covid-19.
Every Taxi rank in the constituency has been supplied with soaps, sanitizers and veronica buckets. Physical cash has also been given to the venerable and the destitute in the constituency.
Commenting on Pandemic coronavirus, he admonished that constituents must adhere to all protocols which are being sketch out by Ministry of Health and President Nana Addo so as to minimize the spread of the plague.
“We should observe all observe the protocols being put in place. We should comply with physical distancing. We should wear our nose/face masks. We should clean our hands frequently with water and soap or sanitizers because novel Covid-19 is dangerous so we should not belittle any advice been passed by health experts”, he stated.
