The Member of Parliament for Manhyia North Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Mr Akwasi Konadu has promised to organise regular engagements with his constituents.
The Lawmaker believes the regular public forums will assist in addressing the various challenges of the people of the Manhyia North Constituency.
Speaking in an interview with NewstimesGh.com after an open forum with residents of Buokrom South-Africa, a community in the Manhyia North, the legislator said, it is his responsibility to invariably engage the Manhyia North electorates to identify their problems and find immediate remedies to them.
The Buokrom South-Africa electorates during the forum expressed dissatisfaction on their poor roads, lack of street lights, insecurity among others.
Mr. Akwasi Konadu on the other said “you (electorates) sent me to parliament, therefore If I get any opportunity, I will engage you to share your grievances with me because your problems are mine as well.”
The Manhyia North Lawmaker assured to fix all their challenges such as sanitation, electricity and water defects.
On the poor Buokrom South-Africa roads, the MP assured that work will begin soon on the roads because “all Buokrom Estate roads have been awarded in a contract.”
