Music Producer Remanded for Transporting Marijuana to Nigeria

The Ho Circuit Court has remanded a 26 year old, named Ola Adanekan Kabiru, a music producer into prison for transporting narcotics (marijuana/ wee).

The accused will reappear before court on December 19, 2019.

The Aflao District Police assisted by members of the Ketu South Assembly Revenue Mobilisation Task Force apprehended Ola Adanekan Kabiru for attempting to transport a 28kg cylinder stocked with dried leaves suspected to be Marijuana or ‘Wee’.

The suspect according to the police was arrested at Aflao – Togo border in an attempt to transport the substance to Nigeria.

The suspect cut opened the 28kg cylinder stocked it with the substance (Wee) sealed it and sprayed it finally to avoid detection.

Investigations revealed that, in October this year the suspect had succeeded in transporting a similar content to Nigeria.
However, while the suspect is in custody through judicial process, police have cautioned all individuals involve in similar business to stop or risk arrest.

The police command is also encouraging the general public or law abiding citizens to continue to collaborate with the police in the fight against crime in Ghana.
