Muslims in Kumasi have mounted a spiritual event in Kumasi to pray for President Nana Addo and his government for guidance, continues progress and development of Ghana.
The program dubbed: ‘Annual Quranic Recitation and Islamic Prayers for Government’ came off last Friday December 27 2019 at Kumasi Central Mosque, officially organised by Alhaji Ali Suraj, former NPP USA Organizer.
In view of the magnitude of deliverables the NPP government has rendered to the zongo communities, Ali Suraj recognizes that it is imperative for the Muslim communities to offer prayers for the government to proceed on the good works in 2020 and beyond.
Speaking to Newstimesgh.com, Ali Suraj underlined that as a believer it is an exercise he has instituted to annually offer supplications for the President, Vice President, Ministers of State and all government appointees.
This year’s edition hosted distinguished personalities including Imam Abdul Wadud Ciessey, The Council of Zongo Chiefs led by Sultan Umar Farouk (Chief of Zongo, Ashanti Region), Council Of Ulama’ and Imams led by Imam Abdul Mumuni (Ashanti Regional Chief Imam), NPP Asawase Constituency Executives led by my own brother and Friend, MD Moro, (Chairperson, NPP Asawase Constituency), Dr Alhaji Audu Rauf (Registrar Ghana Pharmaceutical Limited), Kwame Agyeman Budu (CEO, Electricity Company Of Ghana), Nana Ofori (Gyasehene of Adukrom).
