Dr. Emmanuel Yaw Adu Amankwah
Parliamentary aspirant of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Emmanuel Yaw Adu Amankwah popularly known as ‘Amankay’ has predicted that he will win the Parliamentary Primaries for the Oforikrom Constituency.
He has therefore pledges to bring sanity, transparency and unity devoid of division among the rank and file of NPP members.
Dr. Amankay in an interview said his main agenda for competing for the position is to fix divisions among party executives and members in the Oforikrom constituency.
He said divisions in the party has resulted in a lot of problems thereby making it difficult for the executives and members to come to a common goal and this has retarded the development of Oforikrom.
“I want to unite the people, whatever divides us is something that I will refrain from. I will not take a bias position because that is one of the indicators that split the party”, he stated.
Amankay further stated that, he would be neutral in order to be able to collectively bring delegates and members together in the constituency.
“I want to remain neutral so that, I would be able to actively bring everyone on board because If the actors realize the leader is very neutral is very easy for you to bring them together. I believe that all the delegates and party executives are in support of that”.
Welfare of executives and members
He said the welfare of party executives and members are very crucial therefore he would make sure there is adequate resource for the running of the party’s constituency office. This,” I think will help to air out some of the members grievances. And once you give them that platform to air out their grievances they will have confidence and the moral right to work hard for the party”, he added.
Decision making and projects
He continued that delegates and all party executives would be involved in all aspects of projects and decision making.
“I will involve party members and executives in projects and decision making.
Chiefs, elders, religious leaders will be involved. I will give them opportunity to express their views on my governance and think that will also help to fast develop Oforikrom.
He therefore called on all the Oforikrom delegates to vote for him in the upcoming primaries
