Over 90 Ghanaians arrested for not wearing nose masks

Over 90 Ghanaians have been arrested by the police for not wearing masks.

This arrest comes on the back of a directive by President Akufo-Addo in his address to the nation on Sunday, January 17 2021., where he ordered the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to arrest people who flout the COVID-induced rules.

According to the president, he believes when individuals or groups of people who flout the rules are arrested, it will serve as a deterrent to others not to break the rules.

An exclusive video shared by TV3 gives a sorry account of about 97 Ghanaians who have been arrested by the Ghana Police Service for their refusal to wear masks as a preventive method to curb the spread of the virus.
