The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Railway Development Authority (GRDA), Mr. Richard Dombo, has died.
He passed away on Wednesday, 17 February 2021.
Sources say he was battling with COVID-19 complications before succumbing.
A son of the late Chief Simon Diedong Dombo, one of the founders of the Danquah-Dombo-Busia political tradition, the GRDA CEO was appointed by President Nana Akufo-Addo in 2017.
He had served as the operations manager for Southwest Rail, one of the largest rail operators in the UK, before his appointment as GRDA CEO.
Meanwhile, Ghana’s national COVID-19 death toll is now 565.
