Deplorable Buokrom South-Africa road
Residents of Buokrom South-Africa in the Manhyia North Constituency of Ashanti Region are appealing to government of Ghana to fix their deplorable roads network in the community.
The inhabitants say their bad roads network is affecting their economic and social lives.
They claim the road project has been virtually abandoned after a contractor commenced work on it last year and this has erupted an unbearable dust in the community.
The Buokrom South-Africa residents in an interview with GNA lamented, yesterday, May 14 2021 that the dust situation has giving birth to many respiratory diseases which is affecting their health conditions.
Some drivers who ply the roads said they take their vehicles to maintenance at least twice a week due to the poor nature of road network in the community.
The Buokrom South-Africa inhabitants further expressed their displeasure over rampant robbery attacks due to insecurity.
The stated again that, there is not even a single public toilet in the community. Access to potable water is also a major challenge therefore the government of Ghana should assist in addressing the various problems.
Mr. Kwame Agyemang, Assembly Member for Buokrom South-Africa on the other hand declared that, he is doing everything in his capacity to fix the numerous problems in his community however, he is appealing to the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly and the government in general to help solve the problems in his jurisdiction.
