The construction of Atwima Mponua- Mpsatia internal roads will commence this week.
This according to the Minister for Roads and Highways, Mr Amoako Kwasi Attah during sod cutting ceremony for the commencement of the project.
Mr Amoako Kwasi Attah said the project is in fulfilment of the NPP government promise to asphalt roads in Atwima Mponua and Ashanti Region as a whole.

The Mpasatia town roads will cost the nation GHS6 Million.
A 20-22 Km Amangoase- Atutuma feeder roads at a cost of 12.7m GHS will also be contructed.
The two projects have been given to Memphis construction, the sole contractor for the project.
He is expected to start work this week.
Sino Hydro Money
Mr Amoako Kwasi Attah said part of Chinese company, Sino hydro’s 2b USD contract money will also be used for 5 other Atwima Mponua roads such as, Kwan Nfifini- Apranimade feeder roads 22 km at a cost of 12.8m GHS, a 4 km Nyinahin town roads at GHS 11.3m, Mpasatia – Abompe feeder roads 12km at GHS10.1m, Nyinahin- Kyekyewere feeder roads 16.5km at GHS12.3m and Tano Dumasi – Anansu feeder roads at GHS 10.6m.
Mr Amoako Attah said the above mentioned roads will cost Ghana a total of 76.2m GHS respectively.
Cocoa roads
The minister reiterated that, government is preparing to construct some cocoa roads in the Atwima Mponua district as well.
Thus, Bayerebon no.3 – Nyamebekyere 13.3km feeder roads.
He added that the Minister of Agriculture and Cocobod is working on 19.9 km Foriwaamanso feeder roads.
“By the end of the year 2020, over GHS 100m is expected to be spent on Atwima Mponua roads in the Ashanti Region alone”. The minister stated.
He entreated the contractor to employ most of the indigenes of Mpasatia and people of Atwima Mponua into the construction work.
