Ghanaian actor and preacher, Majid Michel has expressed his frustrations in the lack of a capable and well-equipped movie industry in Ghana.
According to him, most Ghanaian movie producers were businessmen who only passionate and interested in telling stories by making films, but there is no movie industry to fund and support them in making their films.
Speaking in an interview with Fiifi Forson on Jesus Is The Reason, Majid Michel stated that the introduction of the media and other platforms has made it impossible for movie producers to distribute their films, hence majority of them have stopped working.
He stated that most Ghanaian movie producers are businessmen, hence the moment they realized they could not yield the income out of their investments, they have no option than to quit making films.
He also eulogized his colleague, Martha Ankomah for her new movie,stating that he prays she makes more of it since there is no industry in the country to back her.
