Bibiani Senior High and Techical School (BISEC) has a received a 10 seater ultra-modern toilet facility.
The facility is among the one million, one constituency projects policy by the NPP government under the ministry of special development initiatives.
It was commissioned Last Friday, October 11, 2019 by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Mr Alfred Amoah.
The MCE in his address said, Bibiani Municipality has benefited from various projects apart from the three toilet facilities situated at different institutions within Municipality such as Bibiani Senior Technical School (BISEC), Bibiani College of Health Sciences and Sefwi Bekwai Senior School (SEBESS) respectively.
Other projects were, one ware house at Sefwi Bekwai, three mechanized boreholes, market and medical equipment to Bibiani government hospital all under the special development initiatives which are also expected to be commission soon. He stressed..
Dr. Awuah who represented the minister inchage of… said the one million dollar per constituency is a new a policy introduced by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) government under infrastructure poverty eradication programme (IPEP) under the IPEP.
Each of the constituencies is funded by the equivalency development initiatives of their choice.
They managed and implemented by the three development authorities namely Northern Development Authority, Middle Belt Development Authority and Coastal Development Authority under the office of the president and supervised by the Minister responsible for special development initiatives.
He revealed that, over 1000 toilet facilities have been established across the country.
The projects form part of the President Akufo – Addo’s one million per constituency projects initiative introduced upon assumption of power and also in fulfillment of the promise made during the 2016 campaign.
Dr. Awuah however entreated the school authorities to ensure regular maintenance of the facility so as to serve the purpose of which it was established.
Mr. Stephen Kwadzo Dandey, the head teacher of Bibiani Senior High Technical School on the other hand commended government for the facility.
He said “it would go a long way to end open defecation on campus”.
He pledged that the school authorities will do everything possible to protect the facility for posterity.
