The Oforikrom Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mr. Kwame Antwi has expressed much satisfaction in the ongoing Electoral Commissions’ (EC) voter’s registration exercise in the constituency.
The Oforikrom NPP Chairman said despite some minor challenges that surfaced on the first day of the exercise, he believes the EC officials did a good job.
He lauded the participants (constituents) at the 23 registration centers of the constituency for the great comportment and involvement.
The only major challenge which emerged as Bomso M/A Primary got too crowded but the EC officials upon seeing the danger moved in with equipment to support the exercise.

However the Chairman told Adom FM’s reporter Nana Awuku Denkyembour that there will be a massive improvement in the registration exercise in the days ahead
The registration exercise
The Registration commenced in the early hours of yesterday in all the 23 centers of the Oforikrom constituency.
A total of 2,084 people were able to register and have their voter cards despite most of the centers couldn’t cross Electoral Commission’s threshold of at least registering 100 people per a day.
The registrants of the exercise duly followed Covid-19 safety protocols and Police Officers at various centers ensured absolute peace and order.

Although some participants were still in queue after 6 PM but EC officials gave numbers to participants in order to get opportunity to be registered first the next day.
The exercise will last in the Oforikrom constituency for 6 days and EC officials are expected to move to other constituencies on July 5 2020.
