Water shortage: We don’t bath before classes- SHS students cry loud

Water shortage has hit Aduman Senior High School (ADMASS) in the Afigya Kwabere District of the Ashanti region.

Students in the school find it difficult to get water to drink, bath or wash their clothes.

“We hardly get water to drink or wash, even sometimes we don’t bath before we go for classes. As I speak with you, I didn’t take my bath before coming to class,” a female student shared herther ordel with newstimesgh.com

Water crises according to the students have persisted in the school for a long period of time now.

They have reported the problem to the school’s authorities but it remains unsolved.

Lamenting on other challenges, the students expressed that, the quantity of food (dining) that is being supplied after the lockdown has drastically reduced as each student relies on one ladle of rice to survive for the day, unlike the previous days when 6 ladies were given to each of them.

They complained that the number of hours they spend in class have increased and this makes it difficult for them to do their private studies after normal classes.

They revealed that snakes, scorpions and other harmful animals always invade their dormitories, this according to them has brought absolute fear in students.

“We killed four snakes and a black scorpion yesterday at our dormitories”, they stated.

They called on government for immediate intervention.
