Yaa Asantewaa Rural Bank Supports KMA with GHC10K to Combat COVID-19, Pledges to do more

As part of efforts to help in the fight against the spread of pandemic COVID-19, Yaa Asantewaa Rural Bank Limited has donated Ten Thousand Ghana Cedis to Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly.

The fight against the pandemic coronavirus has seen many philanthropists or institutions supporting government and individuals to mitigate its wide spread.

Therefore Yaa Asantewaa Rural Bank Limited deemed it necessary to support KMA with the huge money (GHC10,000).

Presenting the money to the Assembly, the General of the Bank (Yaa Asantewaa Rural Bank LTD) Mr. Kwabena Afriyie Michael stated that the fight against pandemic Covid-19 is a social responsibility of everyone in the country.
He urged all institutions and worthy individuals to assist government in the battle against the deadly disease.

He pledged that his financial institution is liable to give assistance to the assembly at any given period of time.
He added that, the bank is going to make adequate provisions to all head-porters (Kayayes) in the Kumasi metropolis.

The Kumasi Metropolitan environmental health director Mr Isaac Bassanyin who received the donation on behalf of KMA appreciated the effort of the bank and called on other corporate entities to support assemblies in Ashanti region so as to fight against of COVID-19.
