Ghanaian rapper, Desmond Kwesi Blackmore, well known as D-Black has intimated that the looks and presentation of an entertainer are as important as his or her talent.
Speaking in an interview with MzGee, D Black stated that he has always considered the looks and presentation of his artists before signing them on his Black Avenue Muzik record label.
He stated that being an entertainer, particularly a musician is not all about the talent but also the looks and presentation plays key roles in the music career, hence it needs to be considered.
“The way they look plays an important role, it is not just about the talent, it is about presentation it is about how you carry yourself,” he said.
D Black went on to say that the artist must also be hardworking, emphasizing that nothing can replace a strong work ethic. He cited his artist, S3fa as a clear example, saying that her dedication and hard work towards her craft and career have earned her a place within the music industry.
“She is such a hardworking artiste, you guys have no idea, she is so hardworking she hardly gets into my bad books,” he noted.
Meanwhile, award-winning Ghanaian rapper, Samuel Adu Frimpong, affectionately known as Medikal has lamented one of the main problems caused by poverty, saying ordinary problems encountered in life can be termed as spiritual problems.
In light of this, it’s remarkable that we don’t handle such serious issues due to a lack of funds. Money, after all, can theoretically be created at will. After all, money can, in principle, be created at will. Most money is electronic, it does not even exist physically.
Actually, most people have the perception that if they had more money they would have fewer problems. Well, this notion is not entirely accurate on the account that one can have money and still be miserable. The reason they don’t have more money is because of how they feel about their life and who they are.
