A Library project meant for Zuta D/A Basic School in the Akatsi South District of the Volta Region has been abandoned for decades now.
The Pupils have entreated government to fix it for them.
The project commenced in 2006 yet it has not been completed.
People who live around the school have turned the building into a drying yard where peeled cassava and other food crops are invariably dried up. It has as well become a pen for animals. Some old students told Newstimesgh.com reporter.
A concerned Parent said “I know taxpayers money has been used to start this library project but it is really pity that what has been started can’t be completed for our children to do more researching and learn more in order to be abreast with new things “.
However, the school has been classified as one of the best Basic Schools in the District which records 100% score in every Basic School Certificate Examination (BECE) meanwhile it lacks ICT laboratory.
The pupils said they believe President Nana Addo will fix and complete the rotten library project and as well build an ICT laboratory for them.
